Hi this is bangin. My computer got broken at last, so I bought a new one. Now I am trying to make a new post because I couldn’t upload anything for some reasons. Maybe I think that’s because of Window thing…not sure. Anyway, can I upload something now…?

[Cosplay] Fate/Zero
I am so sorry that I haven’t updated this blog all this time. There is no point in any excuses, so I gotta update something…Yes, it is my cosplay.
What is that you are following this season? Shingeki no Kyojin? Hataraku Maou-sama? I am always behind, so I am not interested in any of them. What I am really following is this.
Yes, this is Fate/Zero. As you may know, this series has lasted for so long. Actually, I hadn’t been interested in Fate series. However, when I was talking about my next cosplay with friends, they recommeded this. Because I am, you know, too old. Not like such a young character, but I prefer such a middle-aged guy. So I decided to cosplay him.
He is Emiya Kiritsugu, who is one of the lead characters in this anime. You can see the decent storyline here. Well, to get to the point, Fate shows a war by several wizarding people over the Holy Cup that grants a wish. Each wizard has a servant, and they are supposed to kill others.
Kiritsugu is one of those wizards. He is so dark-hearted, and uses whatever he can use to fulfill what he wants to do. Meanwhile, he is married and has a daughter. But they are destined to get into such a misrable fate…
I don’t know how many times I cried. Every time I heard Kiritsugu’s voice, I can’t stop crying…darn it, it’s been a while since I cried at anime.
There is less oppotunities for me to cosplay with someone else, but what the hell, I have had so many chances to cosplay with other Fate cosplayers since I cosplayed Kiritsugu. Lucky me. In these 5 months, I have cosplayed with four of other characters! This is a miracle. Yes, it is.

[Cosplay] Vocaloid!
Hi, everyone how’s the things? I am doing alright. OMG, now it’s December? This year is going to end soon…alas, how come time flies? I go to work, cosplay, and meet people…these things repeat and repeat. Oh come to think of it, I met up the blogger who comes to my blog, tasukihoneybunny in October. Well, we met up in Ikebukuro and had dinner. Thank you for the meeting, I enjoyed. I like to meet people from everywhere because whatever they talk about is new to me. I am all ears.^^
So, let’s start today’s entry. I have never been interested in Vocaloids, but sometimes I have to learn and try new things even if I am not willing to. Yes, vocaloids are quite a good example. The vocaloids I have known are Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Len&Lin, Megurine Luka, Meiko, and Kaito. What is vocaloid? Now there is no need to explain, but if you are interested or would like to know about it more, you can check here. It’s a singing voice synthesizer programmed by YAMAHA. You can compose a song and make a vocaloid sing your song. The vocaloids have a decent singing voice even though it sounds like a robot to me. Of course you can get your vocaloid to sing whatever you want it to sing.
Of course, this vocaloid things are amazingly popular among cosplayers. The interesting point is, costumes are different depending upon the song. Some of them are very gorgeous and cool. You know, I can’t even count the number of the songs. It’s really countless. One of my internet friends, Hinano told me she likes Megurine Luka. I wonder if she still follows. Anyway, I had to learn some songs in case I speak to new cosplayers or go to karaoke with my cosplaying buddies. The vocaloid I have cosplayed is this.
This is Kamui Gakupo which is voiced by Japanese V-kei singer, Gackt. This cosplay was very challenging and difficult. The character is hard to understand because once again, the theme is different depending upon the song. The song I tried with my friend is Ryu no naku hakoniwa yori 龍ノ啼ク箱庭拠リ[From the miniature garden where the dragon howls]. This costume is so heavy that it was hard to move and strike a pose. The wig is also heavy! What is this? I am like アゲ嬢[agejou]! 何これアゲ嬢みたい! If nothing else, this costume somehow reminds me of takaradsuka. It’s so elegant…
This photosession took place at the museum and the rose garden. The photographer Maah-san brought the cosplayer he associates, and she cosplayed Megurne Luka. She is a really nice cosplayer, and I think she makes a wonderful Luka. The museum was a bit too dark, but Maah-san tried his best. I would like to say thank you to the two. [Cosplay] Jigoku Sensei Nu～be～
It’ so hot everyday, and it tires me a lot. To much worse, I got a wisdom tooth pulled out, that hurts a little. Well, how are you doing? I am doing alright, maybe.^^ Okay, let’s start today’s entry. I doubt how many of you know this anime, Jigoku Sensei Nube [地獄先生ぬ～べ～] but if you happen to know, you might be around the same age as me. Yes, actually when I used to watch this anime, I was still 12 or so. This anime was from the same title manga serialized in Shounen Jump from 1993 to 1999. At that time, almost all of my classmates watched the series, which means this is well known among non anime fans.
Nueno Meisuke is a 25-year-old teacher called Nube by his students. He was transfered to Doumori Elementary School and started to work. Meanwhile, he is an exorcist and always senses evil spirits from the hell. Each episode shows a different spirit, and it targets his kids. Nube always tries to protect his students with his psychic hand named Oni no te. Having said that, this is not just a horror anime, but such a heartful story. Because some of the spirits have a reason why they can’t be cleared, Nube helps them go to heaven. There is always a heartbreaker, which made me cry a lot.
I must say sorry because my cosplay is not something you would like. Maybe it would be better something like Tiger&Bunny or Kuroko no Basuke. I gotta leave it to young cosplayers. Anyway, this time I cosplayed Nube with my friend, Waon-san. He cosplayed Tamamo Kyousuke who is a fox personified. Tamamo is sometimes Nube’s enemy, but sometimes helps him. He’s really nice. Waon-san and I are almost the same age, so we used to be big fans of Nube. This is why we decided to cosplay this series together.
This series goes well with such a creepy place like an abandoned school or devastation. I chose a certain studio which looks like a devastation. The last part of this cosplay is a fighting scene between us. Tamamo is such a powerful monster that Nube is almost beaten up. The studio is so humid and messy that we including the photographer were all sweltering. It was amazing because I cosplayed the hero I really adored when I was a kid. [Intermission] 5th Anniversary
Hi everyone, I am doing alright. I must say sorry that I haven’t come here for a while, but say thank you for following my blog. Those who e-mailed me to make sure I am doing okay, thank you very much.
To my surprise, it’s been 5 years since I started this blog. Time flies, it really does. I didn’t know how wonderful I could share my blog with you, and made friends here when I started this. Yes, thank you very much, I want to say from the bottom of my heart. When I was tired of having such a hard time, your comments or messages really helped me. That is why I could get through. As you may know, I am a cosplayer. Cosplayers are supposed to make people happy. I don’t know if I could do such a thing. Those who make me happy are you. I was helpless and useless, even now there is a time I feel I am useless. However, if there is only one person who likes my cosplays, I feel that a wreck like me has a meaning to live.
Well then…I shall get ready for my anniversary! Where is my tie, suits…uh? Someone is coming.

[Cosplay] Prince of Tennis
Hi everyone, it’s been a while again. Spring has come, and it is getting warmer here in Japan. It’s a good thing because it’s kind of easier for us cosplayers to cosplay. I have been cosplaying as usual, and having fun. I wish I could upload photos here blow-by-blow, but I have no time to do so. So that is why I always choose which cosplay to upload here. Of course there was a time I could do well, and the other way around. I would like to upload only things I could do my best.
A while ago, I found a nice cosplay event around my place. That happened at the indoor studio where had an open-aired tennis court. Tennis court? Yes, the cosplay I did was Prince of Tennis. How many of you know this anime? Even though this manga is from the weekly magazine, Shounen Jump, I doubt this is not as popular as Naruto or Bleach. Can you find this manga in your language?
Anyway, I asked two friends of mine out for this event as they are big fangirls of Prince of Tennis. At first, I was planning to cosplay Tedsuka Kunimitsu and my friends was going to cosplay Yukimura Seiichi and Sanada Gen’ichirou. But one of the two asked me to cosplay someone else.
“Why don’t you cosplay someone else? I have seen your Tedsuka before. You can use my costumes,” she said. Yes, she cosplays a lot of players from this anime. So I decided to choose him from her costumes.
Yes, he is Atobe Keigo[跡部景吾] from Hyoutei Academy, which is a big enemy for Seigaku. Atobe is the manager of the team, and he is, as you may know, a really narcissist, but his play is so cool and great. He is always self-confident and calls himself 俺様[ore-sama]. 俺[ore] is the most casual form to mean the first person, and 様[sama] is the politest honorific. So do you see? Since Atobe uses 俺様 to call himself, he is very arrogant. But you know, I think it’s not a bad thing because it is said that most Japanese guys are 草食男子[soushoku danshi]. Maybe it is good that there is one or two guys like Atobe. Don’t say ＊ただしイケメンに限る.
While I was changing in the room, I got so nervous because I didn’t think Atobe suited me. After I changed, we stepped into the tennis court. There were three groups of PoT cosplayers, and they were surprisingly looking at me. Because I was the only one guy who cosplayed PoT. Having said that, I must say I could really enjoy cosplaying Atobe because it was kind of easier for me to act him rather than Tedsuka. Atobe always has a self-confident look on his face. You can say it’s ドヤ顔[doyagao]. I think I fall for someone like Atobe. Maybe because I am totally different from him. I think I want to be like him. Note that this cosplay is based on the original comic, not the anime, which means the hair color is light-brown, not grey. Oh yes, I have to mention one more thing; look at the mole beneath my right eye. We say this 泣きボクロ[naki bokuro]. You might have seen this on your favorite character. And needless to say, if you feel fetish for this, you have 泣きボクロ萌え[nakibokuro-moe].

[Cosplay] SLAM DUNK
It’s still freezing in Japan, but I am sure Spring will come soon and we’ll see cherry blossom in full bloom. I am doing alright. I always say the same thing, but I am sorry that I haven’t come here for long. Okay, let’s start.
My friend and I paid a visit the abolished school last month. Yes, it was a cosplay event. Even at such an abolished school, a cosplay event happened. You know, cosplayers have been more serious in taking better pictures. If you cosplay a student character, the best location would be school. So what if you cosplay a basketball player? Yes, the best location would be a gym. So I cosplayed him.
He is Rukawa Kaede[流川 楓] from Slam Dunk. If you have seen this anime, you might be around the same age as me. Ask anyone basketball series, or most people would mention this anime. Slam Dunk was aired from 1993 to 1996, and it has 101 episodes. The comics are translated and published in many countries. Maybe you could find it by your language. What is so special in this anime? So many good-looking boys? No, you could feel as if you were watching a real basketball game even when you read this comic. Of course, you can see how wonderful the friendship is, and enjoy the real basketball drama.
Rukawa doesn’t speak at all. He is always smart while he is playing. He and the hero Sakuragi Hanamichi hate each other, but actually inside they are mutually trusting.I really like the way they are because I have never been a basketball player. I am just an indoor geek, you know. I wish I could be a sport guy. My friend, Hajime-san and I love Slam Dunk, so we really had fun in having a photoshooting at this place. Even though so many cosplayers were inside the school, almost no one was in the gym. Hajime tried a lot of angles from lower to upper. It was freezing because I was wearing just a basktball uniform. But I didn’t care. The better location, the more exciting. Actually, we had a Slam Dunk cosplay before. It was at the abolished school as well, but there were too many cosplayers to take pictures. [Cosplay] Angelique
A happy new year, everyone! How was 2011? I wish you have a nice year. Around my place, we had a very first snow yesterday. Not I don’t like the cold, but I wish spring could come as soon as possible. Because I am a cosplayer, summer and winter are not good for me. Anyway, let’s begin my first entry in 2012.
If you think of any otome games, what would be coming up? Uta no Prince-sama, Heart no kuni no Alice, Vitamin X, Wand of Fortune, Miracle Train…it’s countless. In particular, we call any otome games from KOEI, Neoromance game [ネオロマンスゲーム] such as Harukanaru toki no naka de, Kin’ iro no Corda, or Angelique. You can abbreviate it ネオロマ [neoroma], and fangirls who follow those games are Neoromancer. Yes, I am.^^ My first cosplay is from Harutoki, and next I also cosplayed someone from Corda. However, I had never cosplayed anyone from this game, Angelique.
Oscar from Angelique
Angelique is actually the very first otome game in the history. This game was born in 1994, and there was no otome games before that even though bishoujo games were everywhere. In this game, the heroine is a schoolgirl who faces to the trial that decides the next queen in the universe. Needless to say, she is surrounded by several good-looking guys who help her. You can choose your favorite, enjoy dating, and pass the trial. I have played this game, but I must say this is the most complicated and difficult because those guys are moody and selfish. Normally, typical guys in the otome games are nice to the heroine. But the guys in Angelique often turn down even if you ask him to go out. Or else, he would forget about the promise you made and have fun with another girl. Whereas he helps you, he would do the same thing to another girl. Can you believe that? I used to get mad while I was playing this game.
At any rate, I have a friend who really loves this game, yes we call those fangirls アンジェリーカー[Angeliquer]. She is a cosplayer who can make costumes herself. When I told her I am also a Neoromancer, she asked me to cosplay someone from Angelique. Even got me a costume? I was on it on the spot. The character she suggested me is this. He is オスカー[Oscar], the guardian of Fire. You know, there is at least one playboy(we say タラシ[tarashi]) in this kind of game. Yes he is. He always addresses the heroine お嬢ちゃん[ojou-chan] or Miss. I swear no guys say something like this. Well, he is something you see in the old American movie. But…for some reason I like him the most.
The costume she made was really great. I had never tried on such a handsome outfit. I just got a wig and styled it myself, and went to the photoshoot with my friend. There is very few Angelique cosplayers because this series is old. In particular, Oscar cosplayers are quite rare. I fall for something like that. Read the rest of this entry »
[Cosplay] Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto
Today is Years’ End. Oh no how come time flies like this? If you have been following my blog all this time, let me say, thank you so much. I have no idea how long I could keep this blog, but if there is one person who could enjoy my blog in this world, I would like to keep going.
So, today’s cosplay is so special because this character is my friend’s favorite. In fact, she suggested me to start this blog. I took up her suggestion and started…this is how I started my blog. Cosplay came after that, though. The character she really loves is him. He is Akidsuki Youjirou[秋月耀次郎] from Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto[幕末機関説いろはにほへと]. Have you heard of this anime? I doubt so many of you haven’t because this anime is not that popular. Speaking of Bakumatsu anime, I can think of Hakuouki, Rurou ni Kenshin, Peacemaker, Bakumatsu Renka Shinsengumi or that kind of thing. For some reason, Bakumatsu era is something so many women feel romance. There is always a young girl and several good-looking guys surround her. Why do they love something like this?^^ But, in this kind of genre, you can always see how strong those men were, and how wonderful the friendship they share with is. You can even see how great the spirit of samurai is. This anime, of course, shows such a strong spirit of samurai. You can see the storyline here.
I wanted to do this cosplay again because I was not fully satisfied with my previous cosplaying of him. I bought a new wig and styled myself because I could not do this before. And I found a better location for this character, and asked the photographer to come with me. It was so freezing with this costume in December, but I didn’t care. We cosplayers always have to bear the heat and the cold, that’s why.

[Cosplay] A Man in the Twilight
I am sorry that I haven’t uploaded for a month. October is going to end soon and this year is also going to end soon…how fast time goes by. But my life is the same as before, I mean, work and cosplay…meet people, that’s about it.
This year, I made friends with a couple of photographers, and have had some photo sessions with them. They are not professional, but to me, they are because they make really wonderful cosplaying photos. I truly realise cosplaying photos are not like portraits. Professional photographers surely take photos very well, but that is not enough. We cosplayers are trying to be a character from fantasy, which means those photos have to be something from fantasy. If you cosplay someone from your favorite anime, you have to find a good location. Location is very important. And you have to learn about the character, which means what kind of pose is required, which angle looks good the most, how much the lighting is, how you photoshop, or that kind of thing. In this way, you can make a cosplaying photo. People who can handle these things so well are, of course, the fans who love the character. When I cosplay, I always try to find someone who knows the character I cosplay. Otherwise, good photos won’t come out.
This year, I haven’t cosplayed new characters a lot because I want to re-do my old characters to make much better photos. I usually ask which character my friends want to take before the photo session. The character I have cosplayed the most this year is absolutely him.
He is Hijikata Toushiro[土方十四郎] from Gintama[銀魂]. I don’t think this anime is that popular out of Japan, but it really is here. Especially among young girls including fujoshi. It’s not like Tiger and Bunny, but why do fujoshi love Gintama? Anyway, in this anime Shinsengumi is depicted as police. Hijikata is the lieutnant who always smokes and carries mayonnaise with him.
I shall upload the photos taken by the two photographers, Yoru and Aya. They are a big fan of Gintama, and asked me to cosplay Hijikata. Yoru took my Hijikata at Japanese Garden, and Aya did at the sea. I had two sessions with Aya because she wanted to use the sunset. But unfortunately, the weather was not good first, so she changed the plan. She asked me to run in the waves, and swing the sword in the air. Next tiime, finally the beautiful sunset came.
I really want to say thank you to the two photographers because I have never seen such wonderful photos before. If you want to make a film, you need a director and an actor. A photographer and a cosplayer are something like that. Read the rest of this entry »
