[Cosplay] Kichiku Megane
I am so sorry that I haven’t updated my blog. It’s been a month since my last entry! Darn it, let me promise I will make another entry tomorrow. Well then, I have been working on Saturday and Sunday since this July because we need to save power. It’s all because of the earthquake happened in March. Meanwhile, I am off on monday and tuesday. That means I can’t join any cosplay events because most events happen on weekend. I can’t even see my friends…so I wish this summer could end as soon as possible. From next month, my holidays are going to be on weekend as before. Oh here comes a new term to introduce, 生きつら[ikitsura]. 生きつら is an abbreviation of 生きるのがつらい[ikiru no ga tsurai, or tough to live on]. This means as it is, but lately I have seen this a lot everywhere. In my case, it’s too tough because I can’t cosplay with my friends. But don’t get it wrong. Actually when we use this, you have someone you really really love in your favorite anime or manga. Because your love only exists in the fantasy, it is too tough for you to live on in the real life…So mostly we say like xxxが好き過ぎて生きるのがつらい[xxx ga sukisugite ikiru no ga tsurai, or love xxx too much to live on]. Here is one more thing. Suppose here is something you are really looking forward. Maybe next week or next month it will happen. So that is why it’s tough for you to live until that happens…Maybe I would like to say like 来月まで生きるのがつらい[raigetsu made ikiru no ga tsurai, or it is so tough to live until next month].
Anyway, as I have said, I can’t join cosplay events so the left ways are a private or outdoor photoshooting. Luckily, my friend asked me out for the private photoshooting. We cosplayers share the studio for one night as it is much cheaper than daytime. Last saturday, as soon as I finished the work, I went to the studio and had a photoshooting all night long…and I cosplayed him.
He is Saeki Katsuya[佐伯克也] from Kichiku Megane[鬼畜眼鏡]. In fact I have cosplayed him before, but I wanted to improve it. I got a new wig for him, actually I cut and styled myself this time. When I cosplayed him before, I didn’t know how to do make-up. Now I do. And Katsuya is a salaryman so I wanted to place him in such a setting. At this studio, there was a computer on the desk and a bar. Both shows in the game, I took them. And…since it was a indoor studio, I wanted to make it more erotic. [Cosplay] Junjou Romantica
It’s really hot. I don’t want to go out. You know, if you happen to be in Japan now, you might hate this heat. I miss the cool summer in Canada…Although August will end soon, it would stay hot for a while. I guess it lasts till October. The heat is just an obstacle for cosplayers.
Anyway, I mustn’t be beaten by the heat! So my friend and I had a photoshooting outside since I found a nice place. It is a park, and there is a handsome temple architecture inside. Some cosplayers come to take pictures, so did we. I wanted to try out more gorgeous costumes, but because of the heat, I decided to cosplay a more simple one. So I did him.
He is Usami Akihiko(right guy) in Junjou Romantica. In fact this is my second time cosplaying him. But I hadn’t cosplayed him since last November, so it was long time no see to him. I haven’t found my Misaki and Suzuki-san(beloved teddy bear). Where are they?
[Cosplay] First Love -Last Servant- （３周年記念スペシャル！ ⑤）
So my third anniversary ends like this. Well, I had a long-lasted dream that I really really wanted to make it come true. That is, to cosplay my beloved character, Nagisa Kaworu in Neon Genesis Evangelion. I have cosplayed him for a couple of times, but what I wanted to cosplay is his plugsuit which he wears when he pilots Evangelion. But actually his plugsuit is really hard to find because most cosplayers do either Ayanami Rei or Souryu Asuka Langley. If any, it is Ikari Shinji’s. Why don’t they want Kaworu’s plugsuit? I believe he is the most popular character in Evangelion. I am a big fan of him. My top 3 anime characters are Naoe Nobutsuna in Mirage of Blaze, Shironuma Tetsuo in sweet pool, and next is Kaworu.
If you want to know who Kaworu is, I strongly recommend you should watch Evangelion. Well, he is…uh, you know, a gay angel. But I so cried at the climax in the anime. I do wish Kaworu and Shinji could be happy. That is why most fangirls make a fan-fiction comic which the two have a happy conclusion.
At any rate, I found Kaworu’s plugsuit at auction, and it wasn’t so expensive that I bought it…I didn’t really care about my wallet. I couldn’t stop myself. もはや暴走モード（笑） But what I was worried about was the size. As you may know, plugsuits look tight. So when I got it at home, I couldn’t try it out right away. Well, it fits. Almost. So where should I take photos? I just tried to find a nice location…and I found it. It was a an old plant, yes this goes well with Evangelion.
I asked my cosplay friend who claims to be a fangirl of Kaworu x Shinji (yes she is a fujoshi), and went to the plant. She did a really good job because, once again, she is a fan of Evangelion. It is better that a photographer knows about the character the cosplayer features. I was right, she took a lot of beautiful photographers. Oh if you have 工場萌え[koujou-moe], I hope you like it. [Cosplay] Perfume of Love -Mirage of Blaze- [３周年記念スペシャル！ ③]
If you have followed my blog for a long time, you would know I am a big fan of Mirage of Blaze[炎の蜃気楼], wouldn’t you? Yes, this anime is still my No.1, and no other series can surpass this for myself. I have shown my Mirage cosplay here for a couple of times, however this is too normal to count cosplaying. But once again, this is cosplay for myself. Why on earth do I so love this anime? I don’t know. I am not intersted in 主従萌え[shuju-moe], but even that, I can’t stop love the suit guy, Naoe Nobutsuna[直江信綱].
Mirage of Blaze is really depressing. It won’t make you happy for sure. There is only sadness, despair, and even madness in this story. No matter how many times they get reincarnated, Naoe finds his master, Takaya and go on loving him. But the master-and-servant relationship never changes, and Naoe can’t have him…Naoe wants to end this, but he can’t…
Love is sad, and so painful. I think most of the fangirls feel sympathy toward the two guys, so do I. I am still stuck at the world of MoB, and still love Naoe. He is still my No.1 even now.
In order to cerebrate this 3rd anniversary, I cosplayed Takaya and Naoe. Luckily, I made friends with a MoB fangirl. She used to be a cosplayer, and would cosplay Takaya. So she helped me with my cosplay. We had a photoshooting at a quiet garden next to the Nou[能] stage. Even though we were annoyed by a lot of mosquitoes, but I really like her work. Since she is a big fan of Naoe, she directed me as she liked. I really enjoyed.

[Cosplay] If I were a bird
Well, I admit I have done a lot of damn things in my cosplays such as taisougi, nekomimi, nudity, and BL. But you don’t know what will come out this time, do you? Yes I guarantee you that this is the most unspeakable…because I cosplayed him.
See? He is Rolo Lamperouge from Code Geass R2. How shota-looking he is! In case you don’t know what shota means, please see here. I’ve got to say again, shota!! Around-30-year-old man cosplays a shota-looking boy? This is a history, don’t you think so? オジサンがショタのコスプレなんかしちゃってんの！Oh no, I just introduced マジキチ a while ago. Yes this is it. This is マジキチ, you can say.
But why did I cosplay him? I tell you what, I am not pedophiles. 俺はショタコンじゃないからね！Oh I don’t know myself. I just had a soft spot for him after I watched the anime. You know what happened to him? [Spoilers ahead] He is a spy on Lelouch whereas he is his false younger brother. At first he tries to fulfill his mission, but as he spends time with Lelouch, he starts to love his false elder brother. Because he used to be all alone, he has been an assassin. Lelouch is someone he can say brother for the first time. So he tries to protect him no matter what happens. In the end, he keeps using his geass for the sake of Lelouch, he dies. [Spoilers end]
Oh no, he is a heartbreaker. I so cried at this ending. I am sure this could make a lot of fangirls cry, and I have no idea how many fangirls who love Rolo x Lulu got killed? Anyway, this is why I cosplayed Rolo. But…I think I goofed up. こんなの全然ショタじゃない！I won’t cosplay him again. [Cosplay] sweet pool Ⅱ
I think I have been crazy about sweet pool. Now my brain is full of this game. What is going on? 病んでるのはこのゲームのキャラだけでたくさんです（笑）I think I tend to love such a deep and sad story rather than happy conclusion. Of course I do like happy endings so that nothing is left, but sweet pool actually left something inside me. Even now I can’t come off this sloppy feeling. Something like this didn’t happen to me since I watched Mirage of Blaze. Oh I shouldn’t have played this game…but it was so nice to play actually. WTF, which is better? I guess this is why most Nitro +Chiral fangirls get attracted. If you don’t accept bad endings, I don’t recommend this game. However, if you like something really deep and sad, I seriously do. And after you finished playing it, something would remain inside you for sure. It would be going to chase you and you can’t come off for a while. Umm, I feel I want to cosplay Shiki in Togainu no Chi to change my mood.
Anyway, in Japan we had a long vacation called Golden Week. My vacation started from April 29th to May 5th. You don’t need to ask what I was doing, because there is only one thing. Yes, cosplay. I joined the cosplay events for two days and had a photoshooting for one. Too much, ne? ホントよくやるよこのオッサンは…

[Cosplay] sweet pool
I do realise this year is the best in all of my life. Since last year was horrible, it seems like everything got recompensated. The thing is, I am quite happy now. Though I am really busy. So, one of my resolution is to cosplay sweet pool which I really love. If you have played games from Nitro+ Chiral, you would know, wouldn’t you? Nitro+ Chiral used to create some bishoujo games like Saya no Uta, but they switched it into BL games for some reason. As far as I know, the first one is Togainu no Chi (lately the anime has come out?), next is Lamento-Beyond the Void-, and this, sweet pool.
I didn’t mean to follow this game, but a fujoshi friend of mine got me to play because she insisted that this should be my cup of tea. And she was right. I can say I love sweet pool with no hesitation. Even though there are some scenes which make me sick, the storyline is so sad. My top is Mirage of Blaze even now, but this comes to my No. 2! I don’t mean to give away any spoilers, but there is no happy ending in this game. Not like any other otome games or BL at all. If you can’t stand it, maybe you shouldn’t play. Actually after I finished all the arc, I cried out. ハッピーエンドがないなんて悲し過ぎるよ！So that is why most fangirls try to create fan-fiction to make a happy ending for their own. I don’t do that, but if here is such a doujinshi, I would take it for sure.
Oh no, let me talk about this cosplay. A while ago, I got an e-mail from a girl via Cure(Cosplayers’ SNS). She told me she is a cosplayer and likes my cosplays, especially my Tetsuo. I haven’t uploaded the Tetsuo photos here because of a certain reason. She also told she and her friends would come to Tokyo from Fukuoka Prefecture, and asked me to take my Tetsuo. OMG, what should I do? いや～オジサン参ったな＾＾At any rate, I cosplayed the two leads, Sakiyama Youji[崎山蓉司] and Shironuma Tetsuo[城沼哲雄]. I don’t usually cosplay more than two characters from one series, so…I realise I so love it.
And, I shall dedicate this cosplay to my internet friend, ponytale. I hope she likes it.

[Cosplay] Catch me if you can -Durarara!! Part 2-
Okay so here goes Durarara!! cosplay part 2. In this entry, it focuses on our acting. In fact, I directed a bit, so you might be feeling something different from the original. Please be patient that I made a quick dialogue. When I cosplayed with this Izaya cosplayer(Keith) before, I directed his acting and told the photographer(tokyo moe) how I wanted him to take. I did the same thing this time, too. My Izaya did a great job as well as the photographer. By the way, he is far younger than me even though Shizuo and Izaya are the same age. And Keith actually belongs to a certain seiyu agency, however he also does actor things. Now he hasn’t made a debut yet, but I hope he will.
Izaya is something I don’t understand. What he thinks, how he feels, I don’t know at all. Shizuo is still easier to understand; he looks scary, but actually gentle. He just hopes a peaceful life, but for some reason wherever he goes, something happens and he can’t relax. What about Izaya? He is so annoying, and we say ウザい[uzai]. The funny thing is that some fans call him ウザヤ[uzaya] to pun upon his name. At any rate, I think it is really difficult to act Izaya because there is too much interpreting. The same goes to Nagisa Kaworu in Neon Genesis Evangelion. I have cosplayed him before, and it was very difficult to act, I still remember. But…that is why fans try to cosplay, try to understand.
